2014 Assembly Election and Narendra Modi

 Narendra Modi was given the command of the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign by the BJP Working Committee in Goa. At the parliamentary board meeting held on 13 September 2013, he was declared the candidate for the post of Prime Minister for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The party’s top leader LK Advani was not present on the occasion and was announced by party president Rajnath Singh. Therefore after Modi was declared the prime ministerial candidate, he handed over the command of the election campaign to Rajnath Singh.

After being made the Prime Ministerial candidate, Modi’s first rally took place in Rewari town in Haryana province. As an MP candidate, he contested two Lok Sabha seats in the country, Varanasi and Vadodara and won from both the constituencies.

After being declared the PM candidate by the party, Narendra Modi traveled all over India. During this period, traveling a total of three lakh kilometers, organized a total of 58276 programs, including 437 big election rallies, 3D meetings and discussions on tea, etc. across the country.

He started the election campaign from Jammu on 26 March 2014 with the blessings of mother Vaishno Devi and ended in Ballia, the birthplace of Mangal Pandey.

After the independence, the people of India saw a wonderful election campaign. Apart from this, the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Narendra Modi also achieved unprecedented success in the 2014 elections.

15th Prime minister of India

On 26 May 2014, Narendra Modi was sworn in as the 15th Prime Minister of India at the swearing in ceremony held in the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Along with Modi, 45 other ministers also took oath of office and secrecy at the ceremony. Out of a total of 46 ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, took oath in Hindi and 10 in English. Heads of heads of various SAARC countries including heads of various states and political parties were invited to the ceremony.
