An airfield or airport is a place where thousands and millions of air vehicles, such as airplanes, airplanes, aeroplanes, helicopters, etc. take off or take off daily. That place is called Airport. History of Air transport in India

In 1953, all aeronautical companies were nationalized and made under two newly created corporations.
Under the Air Corporation Act of 1953, all aeronautical companies were nationalized and placed under two newly formed corporations – Indian Airlines and Air India.
In 2007, Indian Airlines and Air India merged together.
A third company called “Vayudoot” was set up in 1981 for the domestic airline authority in India, which was later merged with Indian Airlines. The International Aircraft Authority in India was established in June 1972.

- Meenambakam (Chennai) and Thiruvananthapuram.
In addition, it has been decided to declare new Cochin airports located at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Goa, Amritsar, Guwahati and Nedumbasari as international airports.
